This is a fully parametric funnel for car use, but it could be used for other applications (e.g. dishwasher salt, refilling containers etc.). I designed this after I couldn't find an appropriate funnel for refilling the screenwash in my car (2018 Suzuki Swift), but it's fully parametric so it can be customised and printed for other applications.
It has a rim which means it can sit on top of a nozzle or bottle etc., and if the opening is measured using calipers, the fit can be relatively snug.
If you want to modify parameters in OpenSCAD, you will need BOSL2.
The included STL file is made using the default parameters indicated below.
Parameter | Explanation | Default/included STL value |
---|---|---|
$fn | Number of line segments - can raise or lower this to give a more perfect circle at the expense of render time and STL file size. | 80 |
funnel_height | Height of the funnel in mm | 50 |
funnel_top_diam | Top diameter of the funnel in mm | 80 |
pipe_diam | Outer diameter of the pipe in mm | 34 |
funnel_rest_diam | Rest/rim diameter in mm | 50 |
funnel_thickness | Thickness of the funnel material in mm - 1mm prints fine on my printer but you may want to increase this for more strength. | 1 |
inner_depth | Depth of the inner part that sits inside the nozzle/bottle. | 10 |
On my printer (Creality K1C), it prints fine in standard PLA with the funnel opening touching the build plate. I would use a brim to make sure there is enough bed adhesion, especially with thinner funnels.
