This goes on the left side of driver's cluster on the metal/magnetic plate. I use MathyV's original hanging clamp as the basis, but modified the mounting features to accept Peak Design's Slimlink car mounts instead of the ProClip/Brodit series. The PD mount base slides into and snaps securely into the slot in this printed mount.
I incorporate a tilt to the right (i.e. toward driver, for left-hand drive configurations). You can simply mirror about the appropriate axis in your slicer for a right-hand-drive configuration.
I also added a few 10x3 magnet recesses for some extra grip on the panel, but the snap-fit mount is secure enough that they're not super necessary.
Finally, I include the IONIQ four-dot morse-code “H” flair, just for fun.
Note: Some destructive modification of the car mount is required – pry off the flexible plastic cover over the base of the mount's adhesive interface to reveal the actual, structural ~18mm x 18mm x 2.4 mm baseplate. Mine crumbled away in a few pieces. This may seem aggressive for an $80 mount, but trust me – it'll be worth it to have a secure, adhesive-free mount.
Print with automatic tree supports “on build plate only” for the unsupported overhang. Should separate easily.
