Continuing with the project of recreating the National Mall in Washington D.C. for the MiniWorld3D catalog, here is the Capitol Building, heavily remixed and improved by Dany Sánchez from the original MakerBot model on Thingiverse. We hope you enjoy printing this model.
The United States Capitol, often called the Capitol or the Capitol Building, is the seat of the United States Congress, the legislative branch of the federal government. It is located on Capitol Hill at the eastern end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Like the principal buildings of the executive and judicial branches, the Capitol is built in a neoclassical style and has a white exterior.
Central sections of the present building were completed in 1800, and has had several reconstructions and additions, the latest one being from 1962 (from Wikipedia).
We have created this model so that it is very easy to print in parts of different colors, even without MMU/AMS, although it is compatible with multicolor printing in one go. It also has many more and accurate details.
MiniWorld3D is happy to bring this historical model to life as a homage to all the people of the USA. Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture!
