Trotten works perfectly with the XL and the official enclosure. You can use my spool holders (https://www.printables.com/model/733326-prusa-xl-spool-holder-for-ikea-trotten-or-2020-ext), see the description there (bottom line: you have to turn some of the spool holders over to face outside the shelf).

However, the enclosure door will not fully open, so the magnets will not engage to hold it in place. This print fixes that issue.

Print from stiff material like ABS or ASA. PETG will not work because there is quite a bit of load on the part and it would flex. Print with 5-6 walls and 25% or more infill (cubic or gyroid).

There are two versions, both use the original magnet (you can also order them online). One magnet is easily enough to hold the door, because there is way less lever arm than you would have with the original door fixings. The printer needs to be positioned so that its front feet align with the front edge of the worktop.

Nonpermanent version: This is entirely nondestructive. Place a rubber or felt sticker on the inner side of the top shelf crossbar opposite of where you want to place the magnet (see image). The sticker can be 2-3mm thick. You'll also need 2x M4x10 screws and an M4 hexnut. Pull the hexnut into the slot using one of the screws before installation. Place the little plastic spacer on the tip of the screw, then torque that against the sticker. I didn't test this for long, but it did hold up for a week and is definitely a good temporary solution. It requires quite a bit of torque on the holding screw though.

Permanent version: This sits flush on the crossbar. You'll need one M4x10 screw, an M4x30 screw and an M4 hexnut. Pull the hexnut into the slot using one of the screws before installation. Then drill a 4.5 or 5mm hole in the center of the inside of the crossbar where you want to place the magnet.
