The “not yet official but made by someone associated with Rat Rig” V-Core 3.1 Toolhead 1.0 ducts/back, for mounting a Beacon, did not work for me. Super small zip tie channels for hard-to-source zip ties, and sharp bends to miss the back frame, were not appealing to me. So, I made my own, with the space to tuck in the lock of a standard zip tie on the bottom (to minimize the profile) and two cable ties on the side to minimize flexing. Also, now fits 1mm thick zip ties. Should print in place just the same as the original RR toolheads. Uses the same ducts as the linked model I remixed, so print those for this.
Ignore my cable routing, or lack thereof, and poor quality photos: Still finishing my rebuild of the printer and not exactly running a photo shoot here.
v2 uploaded with smarter zip tie points.
The author remixed this model.
Cable for the Beacon is routed out the side (instead of back, where it could pinch on the frame at max Y, and has cable tie mounts to limit flexing of the cable. If you use 1mm thick zip ties, those should go through all of the tie points. Bottom is offset so after zipping up the bottom cable, you can rotate the zip tie and minimize its profile on the bottom of the unit. Twi zip tie location on the side in a vertical arrangement to minimize active flexing.
Model was remixed from the community modified model with space for the Beacon Rev H USB connector.
