Description

Allows you to systematically test the clearance needed to provide a desired fit for a pin joint.
Simply put the pins and shafts together until you find a combination that has the fit you like, and read off the measurements. You can print a set for each different materials or printer settings you use, and now you know exactly how the joint will turn out before you print it.

This model has holes with diameters from 0.3mm to 8.7mm in increments of 0.1mm, and pins with diameters from 2.3mm to 9.4mm in increments of 0.1mm.

It is fully parametric, so you can adjust the sizes to your liking if you need something outside of this range.

The loose pins should be printed as one piece to maintain their positions and keep them in order, then threaded on a string (in order), along with the label tags which mark every 1.5mm size increase.
