This is small project for emergency box for 10 mm socket. I've bought this emergency key box. They aren't very expensive (deppends on a store) and it's much more easier than making whole box. Maybe looks nicer too. The box is 120 x 150 mm.
The socket si hold by a 10x10x10 mm cube magnet, which is printed in. It's what I had on hand. The holder is stuck to the box by a glue.
Socket measurements are on one of the pictures.
Material: PLA
Layer height: doesn't matter, just deppends how thick do you want the letters. They are 0,4 mm thick so ideal for 0,2 mm layer height.
Infill: Some
Brim: Without on the letters
Add layer change, so you can put it magnet!
You just need to put it in place with a glue. Better something thicker, I used aquiristic glue (it hold on everything) but something silicon based should do the job. Because the metal isn't very flat so it needs to fill the gabs. Also it's good to put in the hammer in the hole and the aligning will be easier.
After printing, don't peel it off! Stick paper tape on it and slowly peel it off so it stays on the tape. Then just align it and stick in on there. Then you just need to peel it bit by bit, add glue, and you'll have straight lettering!
