Sram AXS Ultimate Pod Button Cap Replacement

I broke the button off my shifter pod and NOBODY has them in stock, so I had to create my own replacement. Yay.

I broke the bottom button off my Sram AXS Ultimate shifter pod right before I'm supposed to bring my bike on vcay to Whistler. I tried looking around the web, calling the LBS's and NOBODY has them! Lame. Apparently the part is too new and Sram doesn't have the inventory. Double lame. I even tried seeing if anyone else had already created the button caps- nope.

I had one shifter button still attached and they looked like they were mirrored, so I snapped a pic or two and modeled it up in Fusion 360. 15 prototypes later and I got a decent fitting replacement. Suppose I will print up an extra set for the trip just in case!

  • Printed on .6 nozzle size with 0.4 (draft) layer height
    • A rough layer height will make the button face feel extra grippy
    • A fine layer height will make the button feel smooth if that's your thing.
    • I went for 0.4 height for extra grip through my glove.
  • Supports are modeled in! But you can remove them if you want…
  • Takes about 9 min to print on a MK3S+

I only have this concave version of the caps so was unable to make the domed (convex) version. Suppose you'll have to spend the $30 to get that if you really need it, but at least this will get you by for now!

BTW, the actual Sram part number for the caps is: 11.3018.034.000
