It wasn't necessarily a great idea to print one part from PLA and another one from PETG. They were not fitting well in the beginning, but after few forceful pull-throughs they fit nicely

I've made a bunch of these an my kids love them. I had to increase the size of the outside part by 1% so they would not get stuck together. Tiny change in the print, huge difference in the final product.

Looks great! Printed the “cone spiral small” in PLA and the “cone solid small” in PETG, it gets a little stuck when they are pushed all the way together. I’m trying the “solid” part again in PLA to see if that fits better. Adjustable clearances or a couple of choices would be great. Nice designs!

Don't know if it's because I used PLA, or if my printer isn't accurate enough for the tolerances needed, but this is the third attempt at printing the spiral.

The first was impossible to get in, second scaled down 1% was possible to get maybe 1 cm in. This third attempt was scaled down 3%, and only went in when whacked with a hammer ... and now it's stuck in there.

Also, probably did something wrong, because the spiral doesn't align with the outer shell ...

@mortenlj

This print does require a perfectly tuned printer. Set to slow speed and to 100%infil.

To make it more interesting it has 7 sides instead of 8 so it has 6 interesting looking options and 1 that blends perfectly.

Printing it way smaller wil also get it stuck at some point.
I could upload a mega wide tolerance version if you want.

@Idea2Item_134123 Nah, no need. My cheap Creality Ender-3 is probably not up for the task, and my wife has lost interest by now anyway :-D (edited)

Works awesome a bit hard to push the inner bit.
