@TamiMartell_2327437 It's definitely not mandatory. It could help if you're having issues with the gantry. I added it to all of my Tina2's as a precaution. It does seem to help print quality ever so slightly for me.
Do keep in mind, there's fout versions of the Tina2. Tina2 v3, Tina2 v7, Tina2S V6 and Tina2S v8. Difference between the Tina2 v3 and v7 is the lack of a metal shield over the gantry on the v7 and it also has a slightly different Z-axis leadcrew (without a nub on the end), as well als different limit switches (red mushroom tops instead of metal leaf switches) and lacks a distribution board on the back of the gantry. Please do check yours and see wether you need my version (for the v7) or the original (for the v3) I remixed from. (edited)
I'm new to 3d printing, do i need this for my TINA2 basic? I just noticed that there is nothing on top of the Z post
