The Netgear Orbi 970 has a notorious overheating issue and unfortunately doesn't have adequate ventilation. This causes it to flake out and stop sending out WiFi multiple times a day and sometimes reboot multiple times as day as well.

As a solution, several members of the Netgear community forums have added fans to the top to help ventilate. I have the main router and 2 satellites and decided to make an actual adapter bracket to make this more effecient and easier to mod all 3 devices.

You can carefully remove the top cover by gently but firmly going around it with a plastic pry tool. Once removed, this adapter takes a standard 80mm fan and fits into the original top cover holes. I'd print in PETG for the flexibility and heat resistance.

I spent a couple days on this and made multiple revisions but the model may not be perfect as I'm just learning CAD. I've included the STEP and F3D files for anyone who is more competent and wants to tweak it to fit better.

I found it's best to print fan side down, with supports and I used PLA as an interface to make separation easy.
