This was super fun to make and play with!

(The blade kept breaking though—albeit fun when blade pieces would explode when I flicked it open a little too hard haha—so I made a remix of the blade to have thicker walls. Here if anyone wants to try: https://www.printables.com/model/1196079-banana-katana-remix-thicker-blade-connecting-block).

Thank you! :)

Every time I try to print the banana body, (the 8x2 and the 6x3) it messes up and doesn't stick to the print bed. I tried putting on brim but it only went around a small part of the print. Anyone know how to fix this?

@Nkays_2206409 you need to check the place the face correctly. it's not leveled

What a great and fun print! My son loves it. Thank you!

This was a fun print.
I saw a lot of people having issues with the blade not extending after printing in place.
I used Creality print to split the model and I was able to separate each piece of the blade then line them up on the build plate and it worked perfectly.

may I ask how did you separate the blades please

how do you make the hinges not break? also could you make a new file with less hinge width, so it does not break?

do you print the entire blade part together or do you print the parts separately like seven blades

Magnificent! Haven’t installed the magnets yet but this is awesome, my daughter is going to love it. The hinges seem a little likely to bind up and possibly break, but so far so good. Printed on my Elegoo Neptune 4 Max.

@evadub_2696970 The file “Banananana+knife for 6x3 magnets.stl” is just the white part. You assemble the katana in 4 parts.

how do you print the sword layers in different stages it just keeps printing them all then the travel fuses them together

@evadub_2696970 If you use Creality print, right click the model then select split model, you can then click on each blade piece individually and move them freely.
