Designed for the eventual replacement of the heat brake and part cooling fans. This takes a short loom from the breakout board to the top of the extruder motor, whereupon the fans can be connected. It means I will only have to disconnect and reconnect the small plugs on the breakout board once, and I can connect in the new fans to more robust JST XH plugs on the top of the tool head.
Also means the wiring is neatly wrapped around and located.
A modification to the finger pad (see my other model) was done to guide the cable down to the breakout board.
The JST XH connectors are then neatly held on top of the motor in their own bracket (perhaps a dab of glue needed to hold them down).
Printed in Gratkit PETG Blue at 0.2mm, 230°C nozzle, 80°C bed with 20% infill and supports on.
Bracket is fixed to the extruder motor using M3 computer case screws
