This 3D model is a support piece for the ReMarkable Marker and Marker Plus, designed to fix worn, cracked, or broken nib supports. It secures the nib in place, extending the life of your pen.

Features:

  • Perfect Fit: Designed to fit precisely on the end of the pen, holding the nib securely.
  • Easy to Use: Simply place the piece on the end of the pen and align with the nib.

I used a 0.2mm nozzle on an X1C printer and printed with matte filament. The matte filament provides a better grip on the pen, but you can use non-permanent glue for additional hold if needed. The 0.2mm nozzle is essential for this print.

I have made one that looks like it slices fine on a 0.4mm nozzle, but I have not tested it. Use at your own risk.

Installation Tips:

  • Removing Old Support: Carefully cut off the old, cracked, or broken nib support piece from the pen.
  • Adjusting the Hole: Use a spinning hobby knife for 2-3 rotations to slightly enlarge the hole. The fit should be tight but not too tight.
  • Preventing Ghosting: If you experience ghosting, the nib might be pushed in too far or not seated correctly. Try adjusting the nib position or loosening the hole as described above.

Printing Instructions:

  • Material: Most materials should work (I used matte PLA).
  • Nozzle: 0.2mm
  • Layer Height: 0.06-0.14mm
  • Infill: 20%
  • Supports: None needed
  • Orientation: Print upright (tip side down).
  • Brim: Use a brim for better adhesion.

This was inspired by 4ever2fast4you's model but It did not quite work for me.
