I got tired of dealing with the flimsy designs for the Blind Shaker Mount so I designed my own. Not only is this design stronger and more rigid, it also allows for the shaker to be held in two different ways.
1. With the lid on top held in place by a groove and an (optional) 10mm x 3mm magnet.
2. With the lid set under the shaker supported by a deep groove.
This design is much stronger than the others. It doesn't flex, won't bend and deform over time, looks great, and the shaker sits firmly on the base and doesn't move when grinding. I've also purposely positioned the mount to hold the shaker such that the grounds will spill from the grinder, down the shoot, and around the center stem, into the bottom of the shaker rather than landing on top of the stem.
As an added bonus, I have 2 variants, one that prints flat with a thick bottom base, and one that has a beautiful taper which complements the grinder. The tapered version has the top printed as a stepped surface so I'd recommend a 0.1mm later height where shaker sits to help eliminate the stepped pattern.
Parameters:
0.4 Nozzle
0.2 Layer Height (Recommend 0.1 for the tapered version at least for the layers where the shaker sits)
4 Wall Layers (minimum)
5 Top / Bottom layers
15% - 25% Infill
*10mm x 3mm Magnet is optional as the shaker is held in place by the grove and will not move but magnets are satisfying so the hole is there for one if you choose to use it.
