Description

PDF

This belt tensioner mounts to the end of the aluminum extrusion with a M5 x 10 mm Flat Head Socket Screw rather than with T-Nuts. Additionally, this model prints in 4 parts (no split tensioning slider), uses a M4 x 20 mm Round Socket Screw and Lock Nut, and a M4 x 30 mm Hex Cap with standard M4 Nut which slots into a knob after printing.

PLEASE NOTE: PLA or similar materials will warp. I used ASA which seemed to work well with no warping. I would highly suggest printing with something similar or even stronger.

Parts Needed:

M5 Tap

M5 x 10 mm Flat Head Screw

M4 x 20 mm Round Head Socket Cap

M4 Nylock Nut

M4 x 30 mm Hex Cap Screw

M4 Nut

Recent Updates:

Increased Knurling on Knob (was not printing visibly)

Changed Chamfer on Knob for easier printing

Updated X-Axis Tensioner (Added some rigidity)

Fixed Y-Axis Tensioner (Test printed and adjusted problems)

This belt tensioner was inspired by Crosslinks Design with a few modifications to the size and mounting style. It is however a completely different model.
