Description

PDF

The Framework Ethernet Expansion Card has a thicker profile than the rest of the expansion cards and as a result protrudes from the bottom of the Framework Laptops and is incompatible with the standalone cases for the Framework Mainboard.

This redesigned bottom case maintains the same thickness as the other FW expansion cards. It should now be compatible across the board as the bottom does not protrude like in the original design.

Print with the USB-C opening facing the print bed and use tree supports on all flat unsupported surfaces for best results. A brim is recommended.

Printing it flat side down appears to also give good results! Make sure you enable supports, and thanks to @perryoncrack for the suggestion.

Suggested layer height is 0.2mm or less.

Assemble using original screws to self tap into the plastic.
