This is a 3D printed mini desktop CNC that can be used as a PCB milling machine, laser engraver, pick and place machine or as PCB solder paste dispenser.
The machine has a build plate volume of approximately 150x150x32 mm², making it compact enough to fit on any office desk. For reference, think of the size compared to a standard IKEA coffee mug!
Small size also means cost-effectiveness in reducing as much as possible materials and print volume needed while maintaining precision and rigidity. It uses 20x20 aluminum profiles, and the frame measures only 300x240 mm..
Check the BOM file [WIP] for detailed list of materials.
The design features a configurable toolhead mount, allowing you to adapt the machine for various tasks such as PCB milling, laser engraving, pick and place operations, solder paste dispensing or even 3D printing!
For my personal use, I designed a toolhead able to mount Egor Chugay's Flux or paste dispenser. Kudos to him for his amazing work!
The Z-gantry has 12 x M3 threaded inserts to let you design and attach your own tool. Here's the drawing with dimensions to help you design your own toolhead.
The assembled version of the machine can be found on my Fusion360 page → https://a360.co/4b680qQ
Please consider helping me working on this project by buying me a coffee. It would be extremely appreciated!
