An overcomplicated drafting compass, the range is from 65mm to 370mm

This is Work In Progress [WIP]
The issue I'm having is that the angle of the input screw is too low angle to lock the gears like a real worm gear gearbox. It kinda works if you tighten the M3x20mm screw the right amount**.

After I uploaded the other drafting compass this idea got stuck in my mind and I had to make it.

The pencil mount can fit 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15mm pencils.
To change the size of the pencil mount:
Take both of the hexagon round bodies off the bolt thing, rotate them by 60 degrees and put them back on and the mount can fit another size pencil.

Input gear: Use the largest peg shaft of the 2 that you can fit to have the most friction.

When printing the input screw in <0.12, use the dummy tower as a companion when making the screw so it gets sufficient cooling between the layers. It's also written about in printing settings.

Arm dots - with or without you: The arms with dots are to easier see where to mount them. It can be a little bit hard to get all the 4 arms symmetrical without the markings if you don't know your way around a gearbox.

Hardware: Use 8 M3x20 for the casing and 4 M3x16mm for the tool mounts.

Printing settings: 0.2 on all parts except the input screw and dummy tower which are printed with variable layer height - 0.2 for the herringbone gear and 0.12 for the screw. The dummy tower also painted with variable layer height to have layers at 0.12 the same places as the screw. I printed in PETG.

Update 16.06.2024
Added a new input gear with lower angled worm gear.
If you flip the “DrafCompV2 - Left geared arm” around, the symmetry of the arms becomes almost perfect and you dont need to print new arms which I will upload later.

Update 05.07.2024
Added left and right geared arms with the correct gear angle to fit the 83 degree worm gear. The original arms gears are 15 degrees, and will work, but there is more friction so you need to work harder to set angle.

** With the new input worm gear V2, you dont need to tighten the casing screws as much as this worm gear cant move on its own.
