Spool rack

Hey folks,

I needed a spool rack for my work bench.

So I designed a stand element in Fusion and bought some wooden rods.

I used rods with a diameter of 22 mm, because my local shop only had those in stock.

The diameter in the stand element is 21,5 mm, as a result of that the rods have a tight fit.

They can be pushed into the holes. The design allows some “flexibility”.

I would recommend to use two elements for a rod length of 500 mm up to 750 mm and three elements for a rod length of 1 meter up to 1,5 mm.

It can be printed in PLA with a 0,2 layer height and 15% Infill.

That did the job pretty well.

The .step file of this design is attached, so that you can change the diameter, if you use a different diameter.
