Control the volume of your PC or laptop with physical knobs.

This is based on the Deej project. Refer to the website for instructions on how to build the electronics. This case is for an Arduino Nano board.

You need

  • 1 arduino nano w/mini USB (if you have type C or micro USB, you might have to redesign the back hole)
  • 4 linear 10k rotary potentiometers

You can find many other cooler designs for Deej here on printables or on the Deej website.

Notes

  • You can use the “octogram spiral” pattern for the bottom surface to achieve that look on the knobs which I think looks pretty nice under the light.
  • The Arduino Nano board should snap into place. It might be a bit tricky to do so with all the wires, but it should snap and remain firm there, like so:
  • You may need to bend the pins of the potentiometers in order for them to fit before soldering
  • The knobs are designed for potentiometers with 8mm shaft. Some times they are much longer. You can find a bunch of other knob designs here on printables that you can adapt or use. You can even buy them.
