Draw military letters using the Black Ops One font
The letters are 1cm high and have 2mm letter spacing.
Update: The 2mm spacing is now also respected at the sides. Making it easier to align the outer most letters correctly. As shown in slicer screenshots in the images above.
Sinking:
- The model is 1 mm high for structural integrity.
- To work with very thin pens, you can sink it by 0.4 mm, reducing the height to 0.6 mm.
Scaling:
- Down Scaling: Not advised, as the separators within the letters are precisely 0.4 mm wide. And the letters are hard to fill with ball pens already now.
- Up Scaling: Easy to achieve by adjusting the x and y axes proportionally to the desired letter height. For instance, to increase from 1 cm to 2 cm, scale by a factor of 2 to 200%.
150% version with 15mm letters is supplied in the file section. - Using ball pens and other thick pens: Will need the 150% enlarged version to work.
Print Advice:
- Print the first layer very slowly (10-15 mm/s), as slow as your filament allows for optimal quality.
Font licensing:
