V2: Increased the size of the teeth after having some seating problems
This is a permanent bushing meant to be wet cast in a plaster tile tool or plaster pitch lap. This is built around a Mirror-O-Matic 14 that uses a 1 inch toggle pad.
Total height for the bushing is 20mm, inner diameter is 25.7mm. The “teeth” are 5mm tall. By my estimation the tool should be at minimum 15mm in height to use with this part as-is, but clever resizing could improve its versatility quite well.
Print intended for PETG but ASA should function. Nylon would potentially be ideal. Main concern is wear resistance over time.
This is meant to produce a snug, firm fit. It should still be able to be removed with little effort. Over time this fit will degrade, but for pouring the plaster tool, it's meant to hold itself to the toggle pad. If it is slightly too loose, a bit of tack glue should help. This bushing should be Suspended in the plaster, it should not bottom out. I suggest at least 5mm of plaster below and above the teeth. The more contact, the better it will function.
Make sure to do test fittings, measure your toggle pad, and ensure your planned plaster tool is not too thin before using this part.
