i had a primer alarm go bad and thought it might make a good project for the printer.
its printed in PLA with tree support (not needed on the cover).
parts to put it together are listed below.
its made to use either a AA battery or a USB C charging port, in which case either a lithium AA rechargeable battery or flat battery inside would suffice and provide options.
i included an extension and hole on the end of the actuator as I have yet to find a micro switch as sensitive as the one Dillon uses so some preload weights are required with this bill of materials. i have used a .45 shell on the Dillon version and have tried a 458 SOCOM shell which fits nicely so I might have to add some lead either to the shell or hanging from the actuator, thus the hole.
If anyone has suggestions for a better switch or mods to the files, feel free to comment.
there are two built in shelves to prevent the switch and USB board from shifting and also a shelf on the cover to do the same. some 3M tape will really hold these down as I didn't use mounting screws. I also put in a hole for the buzzer sound to escape, but its really unneeded with the big USB port. that was an afterthought and I just left it in. I plan on using a smaller buzzer in the future.
This is a work in progress but its mostly finalized. i want to clean the aesthetics up a bit in the future.
