I live in a hot country where temperature can reach to 32C/89F, so the stepper motors get really hot, so hot that the filament becomes soft inside the extruder. This issue causes the extruder to flatten the filament making it wider, so the filament gets stuck inside the bowden tube and finally the extruder starts to slip.

I prefer this method compared to heatsinks since is the most efficient according to Stijns Projects as he explains in this video:

With this fan vent my issues are completely solve and the stepper motor life is now longer.

This housing let you use the same screws that hold the stepper motor in place.

NOTE: I would recommend installing the tightening arm of the extruder first without the spring to not force the screw in and damage the threads.

15-20% infill grid pattern 

0.12 resolution
