A simple pegboard mount for a 10oz Hammer. I want to keep my pegs fairly lightweight, but at the same time I want to make sure that heavier or more dangerous tools to leave hanging always want to move toward the wall, and not away from it. This becomes particularly important if you're quickly picking up and putting back tools - anything that helps a tool ‘fall back’ toward the wall is a good design choice.
Extending on my Standard Peg design, and using measurements for my 10oz Hammer (Anvil), which is asymmetric, I set up two hooks at different heights to hold the hammer such that the shaft was vertical. This also means that there is a ‘correct’ direction to place the hammer on the pegboard, with the blunt end facing to the left.
I hope you find this useful - and if there are variations needed for different types of hammers, let me know :)
The author remixed this model.
Leveraged standard peg for mounting, created variations on the hook size and placement to optimize for holding an non-symmetric Anvil 10oz hammer vertical.
