PDF

The legendary Bumblebee is here to accompany his fellow Autobot comrades in their fight against the treacherous Decepticons! He transforms from robot to muscle car.

He prints with no support material or rafts, and is ready to go with no clean-up right off of the build plate.

Print Settings

Printer:

Prusa i3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.15 mm

Infill:

20%

Filament: PLA

Notes:

Bumblebee prints on his back together with his 4 tires and 2 blaster-pistols. He is very small so getting the first few layers down may be a little tricky, but once it makes it past there he should print no problem. Once printed, just snap the tires on to their mushroom pegs (rim side out) and he should be good to go.

Bumblebee prints with no supports or rafts, ready to 'transform and roll out' right off of the build plate. His joints should all have about .35 mm tolerances.

How I Designed This

Bumblebee is one of the most advanced transformers I've designed so far, involving a number of new joints and techniques, making him smaller and more articulated than his fellow support-less transformers. I have been meaning to make a Bumblebee for over 3 years, so hopefully he was well-worth the wait!
