This is a clip to attach a cable to a fence. Nail a normal nail into the fence, place the cable in this clip, and then hang it on the nail.
It is designed to work with Verizon residential fiber optic FIOS cables, which is a shielded cable that has an oval cross section of 8x6mm. I use a 3 inch long galvanized nail through the hole, which allows a head diameter of 9mm. You want to insert the cable into the clip, then hang it onto the existing nails. I do not like burying these cables and like to know where they are in my yard so I hang them up on the fence with these hanger clips. When buried they run the risk of being damaged with a shovel or lawn equipment and knocking out the internet. This is an improved new version with locking nubs. The nubs better position and hold the cable and prevent the cable from rubbing against the nail.
