A set of several messy bedrolls featuring messy blankets, pillows, and textures. These are great scatter because they are print-and-forget, and feature enough texture that you can get a lot of life out of them with practically no painting effort. You can print a whole bunch of them in a batch, paint them up all at once, and have them ready for a game in no time. I'd advise keeping them simple, and sticking with two-tones of brown, darker for the outer blanket, lighter for inside.
I've optimized these models to be printed on an FDM printer with a 0.4mm nozzle, and they come out consistently great! I imagine they'd be even better on an SLA printer, so if you try this, let me know!
I designed these as part of a new Camp Terrain Set I'm collaborative on with rfgy16 . You can check out the other items in the set below (with more to come!):
As always, I'd love to see how you all print these and use them in your games. Please add makes/pictures so others can get some ideas for how to use them!
Several iterations of cloth simulation in Blender to come up with realistic cloth-draping and shapes between the mat, pillow, and blankets. After I was happy with the sims, I baked them and began sculpting to further emphasize the rolls and textures of the fabric so that they would read well in a print, and on the table.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
