This is a redesign of my original Ratchet Fidget Ring now optimized for more clickiness.

Overview

The ring features a ratchet mechanism to make it click and can be printed in one piece (print-in-place). The inner diameter is 18mm but I supply the parametric CAD files for various finger diameters.

Why?
  • Because many people liked the original but said it was not clicky enough
  • @winterattack_1622592 even tried to make the original more clicky but asked for an improvement so here it is
Printing

I tested this by printing it in Prusament Signal White PETG with a layer height of 0.15mm and a 0.4mm nozzle on a MINI+ but I think it should work with various print settings up to 0.2mm layer height.

Usage

Initially, the ring might be a bit stiff and hard to turn. You may require a small (!) amount of force to detach the inner ring. If it does not rotate easily enough, you can use a bit of oil or WD-40 to lubricate it.
