Elevate Your Weather Station with a Custom Radiation Shield

Introduction:

Upgrade your weather station setup with a specially crafted radiation shield, designed to optimize sensor performance and accuracy.

This single-piece solution (printed in 4h) enhances your weather monitoring capabilities by mitigating the impact of direct sunlight and external factors on sensor readings.

Printing Instructions:

Employ bridging mode in your slicer software to print the radiation shield seamlessly in one piece, ensuring robustness and durability.

Here is my printing setup:

  1. Printer: Creality CR-20 Pro
  2. Settings:
    1. Layer height to 0.2mm
    2. Bridging mode enabled

Compatibility:

Compatible with a wide range of 3D printers and suitable for various filament materials, offering versatility in customization and usage.

Assembly:

Mount the printed radiation shield onto your weather station's sensor assembly, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for optimal shielding effectiveness.

I used M2 screws, but you can probably modify the holes to suit your needs. You can also modify the base to adapt it to your sensor/placement location.
