ABOUT THE RIG

The Rig is mostly printed DIY helper stand for testing electronic components in an easy and accessible way.

This stand is built mostly from printed parts with DIN 35mm rails to provide easy and accessible testing.

The rig uses heat-set inserts and M3 bolts for assembly.

PRINT GUIDELINES

Here are print guidelines for you to follow in order to have decent success with printing parts:

3D PRINTING PROCESS	FDM (fused deposition modeling)
INFILL TYPE	Support cubic (Legs); Grid (All other parts)
MATERIAL	ASA, ASA-CF, ABS, ABS+, ABS-CF
INFILL PERCENTAGE	21% (Legs); 41% (All other parts)
LAYER HEIGHT	Recommended: 0.2mm
WALL COUNT	Recommended: 4
SOLID TOP/BOTTOM LAYERS	Recommended: 5
EXTRUSION WIDTH	Forced 0.4mm

Tips & Hints:

Set 90\u00b0 infill direction for both legs;
Set 0\u00b0 infill direction for handle inserts;
All other parts - default 45\u00b0;
You might consider using outer brim 2.5-5mm, distance 0.1mm for all accent [a] parts if printing with ASA or other filaments with tendency to warp.
A wall count of 4 is an absolute must to ensure the structural integrity of the parts. There is no need to go over the top with this. 4 walls are fine for this particular build.

File naming for printed parts:

The parts use this naming convention:

PRIMARY COLOR \u2014 These files will have nothing at the start of the filename.
ACCENT COLOR \u2014 Files have \u201c[a]\u201d to the front of any STL file that is intended to be printed with accent color.
COUNT OF PARTS \u2014 Files have \u201cx1\u201d to \u201cx2\u201d at the end of any STL file. The number represents the count of identical parts to be printed.
