I made three simple pieces that allowed me to build a sliding rack to hold my filament spools. I mount the rack on a shelf of my workshop storage rack.

To build it, you need 2 sliding mechanisms (usually found in furniture), as well as two pipes cut to length of your shelf. The pipes must be 16mm in diameter to fit in the front holder.

A side hole fits a m3 screw that can prevent the pipe from rolling inside its holder. You can use any sort of plastic pipe.

The front and back holder fits a 16mm diameter pipe.

The pipe holder fits 16mm diameter pipe. It's mounted to the sliding mechanism by utilizing an M3 screw, and an M3 square nut. These holders are mounted on the sliding part of the mechanism.

The diagonal holders fit up to an M5 screw. These are mounted on the stationary part of the sliding mechanism.
