I wanted to be able to reuse one of my Guga Ribas rigs when I take the MKIV to the range. So I made a retention-adjustable magpouch for the magazines, and figured while I was at it I could make some alternative attachment systems so it could work for others as well.
The pouch is pretty basic, made to work instead of be pretty. The side facing outwards flexes a bit and has detents to fit a hex cap M3x16 and an M3 nut. The pouches are mirrored, so the nut always goes on the inside (may require fiddling, or at least small fingers). Insert the M3 bolt from the outside and adjust the tension to your preference.
I've tested the pouches with MKIV Target magazines, but since they don't really care about the feeding angle, I think they will work for other models of magazines as well. Let me know if not, and I can make some adjustments.
For attaching to your belt, there are two versions that slot into the opening on the GR pouches. Simply unscrew your usual pouch, push this one down until it clicks into place and when you want to switch back, just apply a bit of pressure upwards and it should pop loose again. There is one version with two pouches and one with three, simply because I have five magazines. The three-pouch version has an opening where the M3 bolt can be pushed in from the front. The model includes supports, just remember to pop them off. Make sure you have the tension right on the middle pouch before putting the screws in the other two pouches, since the inner one needs to be adjusted through the holes of the other pouch.
The other belt-option is just a bracket that wraps around your belt from the inside. There are two variants of bracket, depending on the thickness of your belt. The larger one works for really thick belts, such as the outer belt of a competition belt. For those, a countersunk M3x20 is probably the best. For a more common “pants-belt”, use the other back bracket and shorter screws. M3x16 is probably a good fit, unless the belt is really thin. Four thin square nuts go in the pouch-sides for the screws to thread into.
All models are oriented properly and should not need supports or brims. If your printer has problems with overhangs, you can add supports if you want to. If you have problems with bed adhesion, add a brim. All pouches are printed upside down.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
