Very cool mechanism, currently playing around with it to see if I can remix it into a "Key to Hamunaptra" from The Mummy inspired prop. Basically reversing the spring mechanism so that it pushes the latches out instead of pulling them in. (edited)

What's the difference between the regular latch and the press-on latch?

@3DPrinty I'm still confused. There are three different kinds of latches in the files and I'm not sure where to use which ones. If the press-on latch is not a real latch, then why does it have teeth to interact with the gear? And if I'm supposed to use the press-on latch for the aesthetic holes then in what circumstances would I use the fake latch?
@Deozaan_2586244 Oops, it looks like in the years since I made this project, I forgot how it works. I took a closer look at the files and I see I told you incorrectly.
A "Press-on latch" has a smaller hook than a regular latch. If you use these, you can close the lid by simply pressing on it (hence the file name). For a stronger hold, use the normal latches. (edited)
