Ziploc bags can be tough to close securely! Just pinching the zipper along its length doesn't work very well, as it's easy to miss a spot, and the zipper may not be aligned correctly. Dragging the zipper closed is hard too. That's why we came up with Zippy the Ziploc helper!
Zippy the Ziploc helper pushes on the “zipper” part of a Ziploc bag, and lets you close the bag easily, quickly and securely with a simple dragging motion. Make sure the very start of the zipper is closed to give Zippy a good starting point. Hold the bag at the zipper with one hand, put Zippy on, squeeze it and zip the bag closed with one swift motion. The included GIF shows how it's done.
Zippy's “teeth” are designed to work with both single- and double-zipper bags.
Print in PLA at 0.2 mm layer height and 15% infill, other materials should work too.
The “Zippy.step” version is intended for single color printing. In this version, the eyes of Zippy are pocketed into the main body.
The “Zippy-multicolor.step" version is intended for multicolor printing, and includes the eyes as separate objects, allowing you to choose their color in your slicer.
