Originally designed to hold my VR headsets on my 29mm Task Quick Support Rod, this clamp is robust and strong and can hold quite a bit of weight when printed with high wall count and infill percentage. Designed for 29mm pole, and should fit any vertical cylindrical surface from 28 to 30mm in diameter.

Pictured prints were made on a Bambu A1 Mini with 0.6mm nozzle, 0.42mm “Extra Draft” layer height, and 2 walls, 15% infill, and 2 top/bottom layers.

Fasten with regular M4 allen-head screws.

Tips:

  • Use a punch to ream out the holes in the clamping block to make threading the screws easier.
  • Use mouse ears to keep sharp corners looking crisp.
  • Use a powered screwdriver to run the screws all the way into the clamping block threads and ream them out before clamping to the main hook body. This saves a lot of time and confusion.
  • Tighten in sequence clockwise or counterclockwise, rather than a star pattern.
  • Go slowly, and keep the clamping block as even as possible while tightening the screws.
  • Block can accommodate M4 screws from 12mm to 16mm in length.
  • Longer screws = more clamping force!
