Originally I was only planning on tweaking the words on this, but then the original designer commented that the closing mechanism wasn't that great.
This started me down a bit of a rabbit hole to make it easier to print, take up less space by flattening the board and tweaking the insides before then adjusting the back plate.
Hope you like it!
Update v1.1: After printing board tweaked slot positioning to allow some extra touch for adhesion at the bed extremities, since mine raised very slightly as bed a bit cooler at the edges!
Printer Brand:
Creality
Printer:
Ender 3 Pro
Resolution:
0.12 (for quick/cheap print 0.36 works too)
Infill:
20%
Filament: Sunlu TPU White
Notes:
You should not need to use supports for the board, lid or walls, but use supports and raft for the game piece.
Here is how I printed. **Board:** Print board side down, no supports **Lid:** print as is **Pieces:** Print standing up, with a raft. Found it best to print two at the same time close together **Walls:** I had no end of issues printing these as despite good adhesion I got warping at the corners lying flat. After much trial and error I found printing them standing upright on their long edge (as they would be in play) with ~10 of them close together, on a raft worked well every time. For the board, I couldn't get Cura to let me use the full bed (Ender 3 v2), so I rotated the print with squares side down, and reduced size to 99.4% to make it fit the bed. If you do this make sure to scale all the pieces!
Tolerances on the board and lid are VERY tight. This is by intention and should allow for variance in printers. Any less and the lid might not stick in.
I sanded the lid very slightly after printing to make it remove a little easier but go careful! - it doesnt need much!
