My take at making the famous robot dog Spot.

Uses my gen#4 ball joint design. Gen#4 is gen#3 plus a small plate covering one side of the hinge, making it more discreete. You may have to unstuck it with a little twist of screwdriver between the ball and the plate.

I chose to print the screws separately because, although they could be printed in place with the model, the print is more reliable when printed separately.

Print it with 0.2 layer (it is designed for it) and 0.4 noozzle. No support, no brim, except for the screws. Print, remove buil in supports below the ball joints, move the parts until fluid. Then screw the screws in to tighten the model. Dont overtight.

I have shared a 3mf file which is my bambu slicer project with colors and settings. Painting is a bit tedious, but it is very important for this model. Keep purge volumes at 100%, be cause yellow is very sensitive to black contamination, and turns ugly if contaminated. 4h30 print in 2 colors.

if you want the stl files, they are also here.
