VL53L0X Magnetic Enclosure for Gaggia Classic / Gaggiuino

If you want to use the cheap VL53L0X breakout board with your Gaggiuino as a water level sensor, here is an enclosure for it.

Parts needed

• 2 disc magnets, 5 mm dia. x 2 mm ht. (same as for Scales Mod)

Instructions

• Print the parts
• Put the ToF breakout board into the bottom part, connect the wires (make sure they are thin, as the other end needs to fit into a JST SH connector).
• Place the magnets in the top part of the enclosure. Place a strip of insulation tape over them to hold them in place and ensure they do not short any connections on your breakout board.
• Put the two halves together, and connect them with a piece of filament, ziptie, or fuse it with a lighter.
• Install the sensor over your water tank.
