Sawyer Water Filter Adapter

Description:

This model offers a great solution for attaching a Sawyer Squeeze filter to a large water container like the CNOC 3L Vecto 42mm. The adapter acts as a 42mm female to a 28mm male adapter. I take my Vecto with me often for carrying water during camping and backpacking trips and water a way to attach it directly to my Sawyer filter. With the attachment the bag can also be used as a gravity filter so you don't have to actively squeeze the water to filter it. When the filter is not on the bag the adapter can be taken off or any 28mm cap can go on the adapter.

Print Settings:

This can be printed with no supports if printed on the smaller, male threads side down and with a brim. The surface is angled enough that it should print without issue upside down. 

This was printed out of PLA at 0.15mm Layer Height and 15% infill. 

Planned Updates:

• Add a gripped texture to make the adapter easier to remove.
• Hole for a small string to make it able to attach to the water container or a backpack. 
• The threads can be tuned more for a snugger fit to the Sawyer filter. 
• As a separate design, a small clip to attach the end of the tube to a water bottle would be very helpful.
