Hey team,
A quick fun one for the bathtub toy competition, a simple ‘water pistol’ which comprises of two parts and squeezing them together will shoot out a stream of water. I've designed the parts such that no supports are needed and there is a set of ‘iron sights’ for targeting any rubber duckies in sight. I've tried to chamfer all the edges and smoothed out any pinch points to try to make it as ‘child friendly’ as possible.
The parts are designed to be printed standing up and I've attached a ready made 3mf for printing in your filament of choice.
If you would like to scale the parts I would suggest in your slicer of choice, selecting two parallel faces on the Blaster Handle and setting a distance, for example, 18 mm. Then on the blaster forend object, select the equivalent parallel faces and set to the same distance with a suitable spacing, for example 18.02 mm so there is just enough gap for the parts to slide without getting caught up on each other. The parts are slightly rectangular and only fit in one direction so that the sights line up, so just be careful to select the correct faces when sizing :-)
My recommendations for the best results;
I printed an example in PETG (gcode attached), and it works well. A little small for an adult but good for smaller hands
Happy hunting :-)
