We designed this a modular mounting system for octoprint touch screens. We ran into a problem where we wanted the size of a 7in touch screen to control our printers but didn't want to take of the space on our work space to have those screens on the table. Our solution was to design a mount in order to keep the usable but out of the way.
This system was designed with the future in mind. Like everyone else's print stations we see our station growing and changing over time. So we wanted to design a mount that would attach to the underside of our table with a simple standardized rail system. This would then attach to a side table mount that could take a whole host of different add ons for cameras or touchscreens or tool holders.
The case for the touchscreen was designed to take attachments on the top and bottom. Do you want to mount you case from the top like ours? There are holes at the top for that. Do you want to design a stand so that it sits on the desk? There are holes at the bottom for that.
All the attachments in this design use M3 bolts so that it is one standerized set of bolts needed.
