Back panel resonance dampener for ORIGINAL PRUSA XL (1/2-head)

On the 1 or 2 head Original Pursa XL configuration, there are only 2 power supplies attached to the back panel of the printer. This part creats some tension on the metal panel, which leads to less resonance on those while printing. Reducing the rattle sounds on this panels (only). If the part alone is not helping enough in your case, you can try to put some foam adhesive on the tip of it for even more dampening effect.

For installation, use 2x M3x10 screws and screw the part to the 2 already available screwing points at the back of the printer. The flat side of the part has to be oriented away from the printer, the wavy side needs to push against the metal plate.

Printing advice: 

• Using PETG or similar with 3  walls and 15% adaptive cubic infill leads to the correct stiffness of the part to be able to bend it in place without breaking but still providing enough tension on the metal panels
• Using PLA could lead to the part to be too stiff to be installed
