LG Fridge Shelf Replacement

Two identical shelves in my LG refrigerator broke apart, both in the same place.  Instead of buying two new replacement shelves only for them to break again, I thought it'd be better to redesign the shelves to be 3D printed.

Cost Comparison

New part: $33.37 (as of Feb 2024, not including tax or shipping)

Printed part: $7.30 (244g of filament at $30/kg)

Print Settings

• No supports.  
• 50% infill (Update: I initially tried with 10% infill, but the shelf eventually broke around one of the side hooks where more infill would've helped)

The complete shelf is 338mm wide which was much larger than my print bed, so I split the model and used dowels (a total of 9) to help align the parts while gluing and to give the joint more strength.  The longer half is 215mm which should fit on most printers.

Update: A single piece file is also included now in case you have a printer that is large enough!
