Playdate Light Case for Gameboy Worm Light using EXT Link Port

I designed a 3D-printed case for the Playdate to allow me to use a Gameboy Worm light with it. The case has an insert for a 2xAAA Battery Holder and an EXT Link port so I can easily plug and unplug the worm light. I had to use a separate power source because the Playdate's USB C and magnetic charging interfaces do not supply enough power.

  • I used the Link port from a Gameboy Advance because it was much cheaper. If you use a Gameboy link port you may need to redesign the Link port insert.
  • I added soldering instructions to the main images of this project to describe how to solder the battery pack wires to the EXT Link port
