This is yet another NFC tag holder. I have a Home Assistant automation that resets the date when the HVAC filter was last changed and I wanted something I could place near it. I liked this one, but found it big for my use case. I also wanted magnets*, so I used this ratgdo case as inspiration because it was compact enough while still allowing enough space to fit the NFC stickers I have.
*Note: Because these will go against a metal surface, the NFC tags/stickers need to be “anti-metal nfc tags” or they may not work. I've had some success with regular stickers, but they don't seem super reliable against metal.
The cover is not needed, just thought it would give it a cleaner look. Tolerance is a bit loose and may need to be glued, depending on your print settings
The indentation on the back of the holder for the tag is 35mm in diameter and 2mm deep. The magnet holes are 6x2mm.
I followed this process from Make Anything's youtube to create the embedded logo. Basically, you print the logo in one color first and then print the body of the tag over it in another color. Remember to remove any skirts/brims or prime lines before starting the second print.
My prints (pictured) have a gap between the logo and body because I had a 0.2mm “Elephant Foot Compensation” set in PrusaSlicer.
