Classic Curved Flower Pot in Various Sizes

This is my design of a classic curved flower pot, a timeless piece inspired by the wide, elegant shapes of Roman vases. This pot's design, devoid of handles, focuses on its gracefully curved profile, which widens towards the center before tapering slightly at the base. The smooth curves of this pot create a sophisticated silhouette that blends seamlessly with both modern and traditional decor.

The model boasts a smooth exterior that emphasizes its classic curves and broad opening, making it an ideal choice for a variety of plants. Its design not only adds visual appeal but also enhances the pot's stability, ensuring it stands firm in any setting. Thoughtfully placed drainage holes at the bottom allow for effective water management, preventing overwatering and promoting healthy plant growth.

This model series, identified as LR2405, is available in seven heights ranging from 100mm to 300mm, with diameters stretching from 175mm to 400mm. This range ensures that there's a perfect size for every plant and space, from petite succulents to larger ornamental plants. Whether you have a compact balcony or a spacious garden, these pots will add a touch of elegance.

Printing the Pot

In the files section, you'll find PrusaSlicer example projects tailored to these pots, providing an excellent foundation for your prints. Refer to the information below for optimal printing parameters:

Nozzle Size and Layer Height

The pot is designed to print effectively with 0.4mm, 0.6mm, and 0.8mm nozzles, accommodating all wall thicknesses. Select a layer height appropriate for your nozzle size, and always review the sliced result before printing. Aim for the walls to be printed solely with perimeter lines, free of infill. For prints using a 0.4mm nozzle, consider increasing the number of perimeters to three or more for optimal results.

Choosing the Right Side Thickness

The models not only have different sizes, but also three side thicknesses.

• S17 (1.68mm): The thinnest variant is best suited for rigid filament. It is ok for smaller pots, but definitely too weak for pots that are equal or greater than 200mm in height.
• S20 (2.0mm): The medium thickness gives more stability and works well for soft materials like PETG. A good compromise, for medium sized indoor pots.
• S25 (2.5mm): My recommendation. This thickness provides excellent structural support for the sides of the pot, even for very large prints. These prints withstand outdoor conditions, even when moved filled with heavy wet soil.

Dimensions

Each model file's name encodes the width (W), diameter (D), and side thickness (S). For example, consider the filename LR2405-S25-H200-D280.3mf. This model has a side thickness of S25 (2.5mm), a height of H200 (200mm), and a diameter of D280 (280mm).
