PDF

Introducing a traditionally designed large flower pot complemented by a matching saucer, this creation is a blend of classic aesthetics and practicality. The pot, characterized by an octagonal shape with softly rounded corners, boasts a gently curved side. A robust frame at the top not only ensures stability but also enhances its classic appearance. To break the monotony of the plain sides, I've incorporated three decorative lines around the middle.

The pot's base is reinforced with two ribs, providing solid support when filled with wet soil. Multiple small drainage holes are strategically placed to efficiently expel excess water while preventing soil washout and promoting air circulation.

The accompanying plate echoes the pot's outline and dimensions precisely. It features a network of spacing ribs, facilitating swift drainage and air flow, thus preventing moisture stagnation.

This collection offers 55 size variants, accommodating a range of printers from the large Prusa XL to the standard Prusa MK3S+. Each pot size in this set is constructed with approximately 2.5mm thick walls, ensuring durability in challenging conditions.

Printing the Pot and Saucer

Within the file section, you'll find PrusaSlicer example projects specifically for Prusa XL, along with basic settings as a starting point for your prints. Additionally, the table below provides detailed printing parameters:

ParameterDescription
Orientation:Refer to the example project.
Nozzle Size:See below for details.
Layer Height:See below for details.
Filament Materials:Recommended PETG, ASA, etc.
Perimeters:Choose between 2 or 3.
Infill:Suggested at 15%.

Nozzle Size and Layer Height

Initially targeting a 0.8mm nozzle, I pivoted to a 0.6mm nozzle due to optimization issues, achieving satisfactory results. The pot's 2.5mm thick walls are compatible with nozzle sizes of 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8mm, corresponding to layer heights of 0.2, 0.32, or 0.4mm, respectively.

Dimensions

Each model file's filename encodes the width (W), depth (D), and height (H) dimensions of the pot.

Locating the Model Files

All the 3D models for the pot and saucer can be found in the “Files” tab, nestled under the “Other Files” category. To streamline your experience, I've organized them into separate ZIP files based on file format—choose from STL, 3MF, or STEP files according to your needs. Simply download the ZIP file that corresponds with the format you require.
