I borrow a couple of jumping spiders over the winter to become my science desk spiders. They are loved and fed and increase the curiosity of my students. And now we have a 3d printer in the classroom and I may or may not have gotten a little bored over winter breakā¦.some may call it procrastinating.
I print try printing this with no supports, but the house needs it for the roof, and really, it is up to you and your knowledge of your printer. I am a novice so any support is needed. The curved mushroom is now printed in two parts and as I learn more I will place newer versions of these up here.
These currently do not have any holes for magnetics, but I have been gluing small ones to the back of the house (acorn to the top) and usinga heavier one on the outside of the glass. Suggestions for type or a different hanging method would be most appreciated.
If you are feeling generous my venmo is: @hmquinones. Any funds from this will be used to probably just purchase either 1. filament for students to use or 2. pencils because they never ever have their own and 3. keeping the spiders well fed in flightless fruitflies
